Nissan RB26 NISMO Intake Manifold Shave & Cast Finish Service
This service is for Nissan RB26 NISMO intake manifold where you want to remove the unused throttle linkage bridge and cable mounting bosses for a cleaner, more simplified appearance.
- The service is available for both:
- Nissan OEM RB26 intake manifolds
- NISMO RB26 intake manifolds
- NISMO logo
- 40th Anniversary NISMO logo
- This is a permanent modification to the manifold.
- Full Shave removes the original throttle linkage bridge and cable throttle mounting features.
- Full Shave is intended for modified throttle arrangements where these factory mounting points are no longer required due to using ITB Drive-by-wire.
- The final cast-style finish is intended to closely match the original manifold but may not be completely identical to the surrounding factory casting.
- Please contact us before ordering if you have any questions
After the required areas are removed, the manifold is carefully blended and finished to help recreate the original cast aluminium appearance.
A needle descaling process is used across the modified areas to help match the surrounding factory cast texture rather than leaving a smooth machined or heavily sanded finish.
Optional CNC Machined NISMO Logo
A CNC machined NISMO logo can also be added after the shaving and finishing work has been completed.
This option is mainly intended for the NISMO intake manifold, where the original raised logo section has been shaved away.
The logo is machined directly into the aluminium surface rather than using an applied badge or plaque.
Available logo options include:
The CNC logo engraving is available as a separate add-on service available below or when adding this product to the cart.
Surface Finish
The goal of the finishing process is to make the modified areas blend naturally into the original manifold casting.
After the unwanted features are removed, the surrounding areas are carefully sanded and blended.
A needle descaling tool is then used to recreate a cast-style texture across the modified areas.
Some minor variation in surface texture is normal because the original manifold casting itself is not perfectly uniform.
