RB26 Factory intake Side Restoration

Intake Manifold Full Rebuild & Restoration Process ( EXCHANGE BASIS )

Please note some older photos have been used to give you an idea of what the rebuilt parts look like, we have factory colored return spring in green now for the Throttles & Linkage bridge along with the same clear/white spring retainers that go with the return springs.

Each intake manifold undergoes a complete disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and rebuild. All components are assessed for wear, corrosion, and sealing surface condition before being restored or replaced. The process includes:

• Balance Tube

  • Inspect & disassemble

  • Remove aluminium plugs, bleed screw, vacuum fittings, and frost plugs

  • Steam clean, dryblast and wetblast, Steam clean again, final high pressure air clean

  • Final internal clean to remove any media

  • Refit zinc-plated tubes, new plugs, bleed screw, vacuum nipples, and frost plugs

• Base Manifold

  • Inspect & disassemble

  • Steam clean, dryblast and wetblast, Steam clean again, final high pressure air clean

  • Final clean

• Intake Manifold

  • Inspect & disassemble

  • Dryblast and wetblast

  • Final dry clean

• Linkage Bridge

  • Inspect & disassemble

  • Steam clean, dryblast and wetblast, Steam clean again, final high pressure air clean

  • Reassemble with 316 stainless shaft, new return spring, guide washers, and plated hardware

  • Fit new tension pins

• Throttle Bodies (x3)

  • Inspect & disassemble

  • Remove throttle blades, shafts, and bearings

  • Steam clean, dryblast and wetblast, Steam clean again, final high pressure air clean

  • Reassemble with new bearings, seals, plated hardware, and realigned throttle blades

  • Loctite all screws, set blade stops, apply Tomei throttle coat, and light WD-40 lube at shaft bores

• Water Manifold

  • Inspect & disassemble

  • Remove silicone RTV and old water nipple

  • Steam clean, dryblast and wetblast, Steam clean again, final high pressure air clean

  • Refit with new hose nipple and plated hardware

• Lower Air Intake Chamber

  • Inspect & disassemble

  • Steam clean, dryblast and wetblast, Steam clean again, final high pressure air clean

• Final Assembly

  • All components reassembled and inspected

  • Ready for shipping
