Strengthened Pierberg Throttle Actuator from S56 BMW Engine

Our strengthened Pierberg throttle actuators are ideal for DBW (Drive-By-Wire) throttle conversions. These robust throttle motors are designed to handle the demanding requirements of individual throttle body applications, such as our IEE RB26 ITB Drive-By-Wire System.

Components Included
Pierberg Throttle Actuator New
Shaft support plate
Bearing with integrated seal
Linkage Actuator Lever
Deutsch 2 Pin Connector kit
TPS blanking cap ( If you would like the factory TPS in place give us an email first )

The actuator is stripped down in house and reassembled with IEE Shaft support plate and is delivered ready to go! Our shaft support plate is essentially designed and fitted to increase longevity in performance applications with heavy loads.

Important Notes
When using these throttle motors with an aftermarket ECU (such as Haltech, Link, or Motec), it is recommended to use a DC motor driver to enhance power delivery to the throttle motor. Most modern aftermarket ECUs provide around 4 amps, which is sufficient for single throttle motors. However, moving multiple throttles, which generate more resistance and drag, requires additional power. Therefore, we always recommend using a DC motor driver, such as those from Haltech or Motec, to ensure optimal performance of the motor.

In some cases, these throttle motors can function without a DC motor driver, for example, when there are no throttle springs on the throttle assembly and there is very low resistance from single lip seals used on the throttle bodies.

However, operating the motor without a DC motor driver may result in suboptimal performance and slower response times. To achieve the best possible response and performance, it is advisable to use a DC motor driver.
