When upgrading a vehicle to a modern electronic throttle body, finding a drive-by-wire pedal that actually fits can be a challenge. Over the years, we've tested countless setups, and this universal drive-by-wire pedal has proven to be one of the most adaptable and reliable options available.

Key Features

Flexible Mounting The folded sheet-metal backing plate bolts directly to your chassis or firewall. It can be re-drilled, spaced, or used with an adapter bracket to suit different bolt-hole layouts - including direct compatibility with many Nissan firewall patterns.

All-Metal Construction The solid steel pedal rod can be shortened, extended, or repositioned by trimming and re-welding - allowing precise placement of your original pedal pad. Perfect for custom builds or conversions where positioning and factory feel is crucial.

Reliable OEM-Grade Sensor Each unit includes an AISIN position sensor, a genuine Japanese OEM component used in many factory drive-by-wire systems. It's accurate, dependable, and proven over years of real-world use.

Adaptable Fitment The standard bolt-hole spacing is 40 mm centre-to-centre - check your firewall or bracket pattern, and adapt if needed.

Universal vs Bosch: Why Footprint Matters

Take a look at the side and front profile of both 3D models side by side. The Bosch pedal's plastic lever is considerably longer than ours, measured from the pivot point down to the pedal pad, which means it needs a lot more vertical clearance between your floor and the wiper tray or scuttle panel just to physically fit. Because it's plastic, that lever length is fixed, you can't trim it or re-weld it to suit tighter packaging like you can with our steel rod.

Our universal pedal is built with a proportionate pivot point: the distance from the rotation axis to the wiper tray is roughly the same as the distance from the axis down to the pedal pad. That balance means you can position the pedal exactly where you need it without resorting to a complex offset adapter bracket, something that's often unavoidable when trying to fit a Bosch pedal into a tight footwell.
